South Pointe put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 73-35 win over the Darlington Falcons. The Stallions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 36 points or more this season.

Leading South Pointe to victory were Kaleigh Lucas and JaNyia Cunningham. Lucas went 12 of 22 en route to 29 points along with seven rebounds and six steals, while Cunningham dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 boards. Lucas' afternoon made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zyan Hinnant, who posted six points and six rebounds.

South Pointe smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in seven consecutive games.

South Pointe's victory bumped their record up to 11-0. As for Darlington, their loss dropped their record down to 8-3.

When South Pointe and Darlington next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. South Pointe will try to stop Evans' ten-game winning streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. South Pointe is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 66.8 points per game this season. Meanwhile, Darlington will try to stop South Florence's four-game winning streak when the meet at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
