The Freeman Scotties will be playing in front of their home fans against the Quincy Jackrabbits at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Freeman will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
Last Friday, Freeman made easy work of Medical Lake and carried off a 35-15 victory. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-7.
Freeman can attribute much of their success to Luke Whitaker, who threw for 235 yards and four touchdowns on only 18 passes. Whitaker hasn't dropped below three passing touchdowns for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Kanoa Rogan, who gained 75 total yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Quincy fell victim to Cashmere's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were dealt a 49-0 loss at the hands of the Bulldogs. Having soared to a lofty 43 points in the game before, Quincy couldn't push the score so high this time.
Freeman is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Quincy, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.
