Bluefield (W. Va.) snapped the seven-game winning streak of
Nicholas County (Summersville, W. Va.), with a 26-14 victory on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by
Dj Stewart in the first quarter, the Beavers led 20-7 at the half.
Bluefield saw its 13-point halftime lead decrease to nine entering the fourth.
BHS had given up an average of 17.0 points prior to the contest.
The loss comes after Nicholas County defeated Wyoming East 35-14 last week.
