Softball Recap: Friday's Win Is Liberal's Seventh in Last Eight Outings

Liberal barely beat Lamar the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bulldogs blew past the Tigers 18-6 on Friday. Considering the Bulldogs have won ten matches by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Liberal has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Lamar, they moved to 9-5 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Liberal has already played their next game, an 18-1 win against Archie on the 22nd. As for Lamar, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 13-12 victory against Varsity Opponent on the 18th.
