The Carson Cougars's homestand continues as they prepare to take on the East Rowan Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on February 13th. Carson comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last six games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 73-15, which was the final score in Carson's tilt against Northwest Cabarrus on Friday. Carson has not had much luck with Northwest Cabarrus recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Carson's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Rylee Hedrick, who scored six points along with two steals, and Brooklyn Mcbride who scored no points. Hedrick is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 61 points the game before, East Rowan were a bit more limited in their matchup on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a rough 62-19 loss at the hands of Northwest Cabarrus. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points East Rowan has scored all season.
Carson's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-20. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 17.0 points per game. As for East Rowan, they now have a losing record at 10-11.
Carson was dealt a bruising 47-8 loss at the hands of East Rowan when the teams last played back in January. Will Carson have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other basketball content.
