Softball Recap: Crooksville's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

Crooksville dropped their record down to 14-4 on Monday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They lost 7-0 to the Meadowbrook Colts. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Ceramics were not able to get on the board.

As for Meadowbrook, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 16-4. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 7.8 runs.

For Meadowbrook's part, Jordyn Vargeson was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Addy Wiggins, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

While Crooksville had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
