The St. Francis Gladiators will be playing in front of their home fans against the Glen Lake Lakers at 7:15 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
After only 22 points in their last game, St. Francis made sure to put some points up on the board against Grayling on Thursday. St. Francis took down Grayling 66-47.
Meanwhile, Glen Lake came tearing into Thursday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They skirted past Onekama 38-36. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Glen Lake has scored all year.
Glen Lake found their leader in underclassman Jacob Plamondon, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 12 rebounds. Plamondon is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last four games he's played.
St. Francis now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Glen Lake, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.
St. Francis strolled past Glen Lake in their previous matchup back in March of 2023 by a score of 46-32. Does St. Francis have another victory up their sleeve, or will Glen Lake turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
