Timber Creek is a perfect 9-0 against East River since February of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Timber Creek Wolves are taking a road trip to face off against the East River Falcons at 7:00 p.m. Timber Creek's pitching crew has only allowed 2.3 runs per game this season, so East River's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Timber Creek lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Oviedo, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Wednesday's contest. The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Timber Creek has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 10 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like East River struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8.8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Timber Creek came out on top in a nail-biter against East River in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, sneaking past 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Timber Creek since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
