Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the McGehee Owls, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They had to suffer through a rough 42-14 loss at the hands of Bauxite.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bauxite to victory, but perhaps none more so than Walt Duncan, who rushed for 90 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries. Eli Perry was another key contributor, rushing for 42 yards and a touchdown.
McGehee's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Bauxite, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-3.
McGehee does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Bauxite will take on Warren at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Warren is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
