It was another big night for Skylar Townsend, who scored 23 points along with nine rebounds and five steals for Tanner. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Townsend has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Tailan Hall, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Elkmont has not been sharp recently, as they've lost 12 of their last 13 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season. As for Tanner, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Elkmont won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Lindsay Lane Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on January 9th. Lindsay Lane Christian Academy is hoping to put an end to a seven-game streak of away losses. As for Tanner, they will be playing at home against Whitesburg Christian Academy at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Alabama (Whitesburg Christian Academy is ranked 206th, while Tanner is ranked 229th).
