The Curwensville Golden Tide's's five-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They walked away with a 36-28 win over Tussey Mountain. The victory was just what Curwensville needed coming off of a 30-8 loss in their prior contest.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Curwensville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tyler Dunn, who rushed for 109 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries, and also threw for 181 yards and two touchdowns on only 16 passes. Braden Holland was another key contributor, gaining 148 total yards and two touchdowns.
Tussey Mountain's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Noah Lucko, who rushed for 120 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries, and Isaiah Sosak who rushed for 156 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.2 yards per carry. Sosak was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 59 yards.
Curwensville's victory bumped their record up to 2-8. As for Tussey Mountain, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-8.
Curwensville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Tussey Mountain also has no future games currently scheduled.
