On Monday, St. Joseph's Academy faced Northshore in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The St. Joseph's Academy Redstickers' defense stepped up to hand the Northshore Panthers a 5-0 shutout. Considering the Redstickers have won 12 matchups by more than two goals this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory was the eighth in a row for St. Joseph's Academy, bringing their record for this year to 19-1-1. As for Northshore, their loss dropped their record down to 11-6-4.

St. Joseph's Academy has already played their next contest (against St. Thomas More), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Northshore face off against the Covington at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
