Things haven't been easy for West Central Valley, and their contest last Friday only extended their streak of losses to three. They lost to Guthrie Center/Adair-Casey by a decisive 8-26 margin.
Meanwhile, Clarinda suffered a grim 6-28 defeat to Mt. Ayr last Friday. Clarinda were down by 0-28 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
With the two teams each stumbling in off of a defeat, both will be hungry for the win. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so their meeting could be a low-scoring affair.
