New London extended their winning streak to four on Tuesday, bumping their season record up to 10-3 in the process. They blew past the Plymouth Big Red 13-1. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by eight runs or more this season.
New London got a massive performance out of Maya Kilgrove, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and four RBI. That's the most RBI Kilgrove has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Gracie Thomas, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
New London hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Plymouth struck out six times.
As for Plymouth, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. They have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
On Plymouth's side, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Karsyn Steele-Adkins, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.
