Even though the Miami Christian Victors scored an imposing 69 points on Friday, the True North Classical Academy Titans still came out on top. True North Classical Academy took down Miami Christian 86-69. Given True North Classical Academy's advantage  in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings  (they are ranked 59th, while Miami Christian is ranked 274th), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
  Jasen Lopez continued  his habit of posting crazy stat lines,  scoring 38 points along with five  rebounds and five  steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  he has scored all season.  Cj Gonzalez was another key contributor,  scoring 19 points along with six  rebounds and five  assists.
 Miami Christian's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Sebastian Gonzalez, who  scored 22 points. Gonzalez hasn't dropped below 15points for four straight games. Another player making a difference was  Pau Verges, who  scored 14 points.
 True North Classical Academy has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won ten of their last 11 games,  which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. As for Miami Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-6.
 True North Classical Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Archbishop McCarthy at 6:00  p.m.  on January 23rd. Archbishop McCarthy is coming into the  matchup hot, having won their last five games. As for Miami Christian, they will be playing at home against Calusa Prep at 7:30  p.m.  on Monday. Calusa Prep is coming into the  matchup on a four-game losing streak.
