Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Tuesday (65), Legion Collegiate Academy still had to take the loss.
When it comes to explaining why Legion Collegiate Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Aiden Cherikos. Despite the final result, he scored 30 points. The contest was Cherikos' third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Caiden Brzozka, who scored 16 points.
Community School of Davidson's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Dermot Lowry, who scored 33 points along with 7 rebounds and 4 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Lowry has scored at least 25% of Community School of Davidson's points. Austin Moran was another key contributor, scoring 20 points along with 7 rebounds and 4 steals.
Legion Collegiate Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Community School of Davidson, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Legion Collegiate Academy will head out on the road to face off against Charlotte Country Day School at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Charlotte Country Day School is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. As for Community School of Davidson, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Lake Norman Christian at 6:00 p.m.
