The Victory Christian Academy Knights will head out on the road to take on the Cathedral Catholic Dons at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Victory Christian Academy has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,087 points over their last 15 matches.
Even though Francis Parker scored an imposing 61 points on Saturday, Victory Christian Academy still came out on top. Victory Christian Academy took their game against the Lancers 71-61.
Jayden Gray and Derek Edmond were among the main playmakers for Victory Christian Academy as the former almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine assists and the latter scored 19 points along with eight rebounds and two blocks. Edmond is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last ten games he's played. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Owens, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, Cathedral Catholic pushed their score all the way to 63 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 76-63 to St. Augustine. While losing is never fun, Cathedral Catholic can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 97th, while the Saints are ranked 20th).
Victory Christian Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season. As for Cathedral Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-8.
