The Lee Generals's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 90-37 loss at the hands of Gate City. Lee was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 50-19.
Several Generals players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Braylen Pendergraft, who scored ten points. The game was Pendergraft's third in a row with at least ten points. Brynnen Pendergraft was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Lee's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Gate City, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Lee will head out on the road to face off against John Battle at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Gate City won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Tennessee at 7:30 p.m. on January 6th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in their respective states (Tennessee is ranked 146th in Tennessee, while Gate City is ranked 166th in Virginia).
