The Gregory Gorillas's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. Their rough 68-44 defeat to Parkston might stick with them for a while. Gregory was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-17.
When it comes to explaining why Gregory lost, one person who can't be blamed is Ashlyn Vosika. Despite the final result, she scored 11 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Asia VanDerWerff, who scored 12 points along with three steals.

Gregory will be playing in front of their home fans against Freeman at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Freeman will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Gregory surely won't give up without a fight. As for Parkston, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Tea at 3:30 p.m. on February 3rd. Parkston is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
