Chancellor has been on the road for two straight, but on Monday they'll finally head home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Massaponax Panthers at 6:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Friday, everything came up roses for Chancellor on the road against Eastern View as the team secured a 59-24 victory. That 59-24 margin sets a new team best for Chancellor this season.
Kendall Scott was her usual excellent self, scoring 22 points along with eight steals and five rebounds. Those 22 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Lydia Brockelbank, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, Massaponax came tearing into Friday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past Colonial Forge 72-8 on the road. Massaponax's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Chancellor's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.3 points per game. As for Massaponax, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.
Chancellor took a serious blow against Massaponax when the teams last played back in December of 2022, falling 57-11. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Chancellor was down 29-6.
