The Scottsdale Christian Academy Eagles had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They took down Pima 41-22 on Saturday. The win was nothing new for Scottsdale Christian Academy as they're now sitting on ten straight.
Scottsdale Christian Academy was led to victory by Andrew Trapp and Jack Atkinson. Trapp picked up 184 receiving yards and two touchdowns, while Atkinson threw for 297 yards and five touchdowns while completing 76% of his passes. Trapp was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 61 yards.
Despite the loss, Pima still got an impressive performance from Sam Ray, who picked up 88 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Even if they lost, Pima's defensive line sure didn't make it easy: Scottsdale Christian Academy's QB was sacked four times before it was all said and done. Pepper Hughes was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up 2.5 sacks himself.
Scottsdale Christian Academy's victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 49.3 points per game. As for Pima, their defeat ended a 17-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 13-1.
