The Princeville Princes were the 46-35 winner over the Biggsville West Central Heat when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Princeville took a 48-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of Biggsville West Central. Princeville has been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.
Leading Biggsville West Central to victory were Harlee Hainds and Shelby Bowman. Hainds scored 17 points along with nine rebounds, while Bowman scored 27 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. The matchup was Bowman's 16th in a row with at least ten points.
Princeville's defeat dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Biggsville West Central, they pushed their record up to 11-5 with that win, which was their third straight at home.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Princeville is on the road again on Saturday and play against Peoria Heights at 11:30 a.m. on January 6th. Hopefully Peoria Heights focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Thursday. As for Biggsville West Central, they will head out on the road to face off against Mercer County at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Mercer County is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
