Carlsbad entered their tilt with St. Pius X on Thursday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They put the hurt on the Sartans with a sharp 11-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Cavemen/Cavegirls, who have now won five matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

Carlsbad's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-4. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for St. Pius X, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-9.
