The DASH United will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against the Jacksonville Christian Academy Conquerors at 7:00 p.m. on February 12th. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Last Friday, DASH had to suffer through a rough 80-44 loss at the hands of Southeastern HomeSchool. DASH has struggled against Southeastern HomeSchool recently, as their game on Friday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Jacksonville Christian Academy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight defeat. They took a 68-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of Pamlico Christian Academy. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Despite their loss, Jacksonville Christian Academy saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Kellen Evans, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of DJ Shiver, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 16 rebounds.
DASH has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-13 record this season. As for Jacksonville Christian Academy, their loss was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-16.
