The Palisade Bulldogs will challenge the Durango Demons at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Palisade is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5 runs per game this season.
Palisade's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over Rifle. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won ten contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Ascher Morby made a splash no matter where he played. He tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.
In other pitching news, Ethan Bevan looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Grant Porter, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double. Those two runs gave him a new career-high.
Palisade kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in seven consecutive matches.
Durango let Montrose stack four runs on them in the fourth inning on Saturday but luckily Durango prevailed anyway. The Demons walked away with an 8-4 victory over the Red Hawks. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Demons.
Like Palisade, Durango also got a great game from a two-way player: Dawson McInnes. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching seven innings while giving up four earned runs off nine hits. McInnes was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with five stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 1.1 stolen bases per game.
In other batting news, Austin Romero was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Duncan Walsh was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one double, and one RBI.
Durango pushed their record up to 13-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Palisade, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-8 record this season.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Palisade has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Durango struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 6.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Everything went Palisade's way against Durango in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Palisade made off with an 11-0 win. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Demons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
