After having lost a blowout in their contest last week, Central Regional were happy to find some success on Friday. They took down Southern Regional 30-14. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Central Regional as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.
Central Regional got off to a slow start in their matchup last week, but they had no such trouble against Southern Regional as they cruised to a 24-point first half. Southern Regional countered with 14 points, leaving the score at 24-14 going into the half. The other side of the ball was dominant for Central Regional in the second half, holding Southern Regional to a measly 0 points. Finally capturing their first win of the season, Central Regional advanced to 1-6. The loss dropped Southern Regional's record to 2-4.
Central Regional will have some time to rest before their next match, which is against St. John-Vianney in two weeks. Southern Regional will take on Howell at home at 7:00 PM next week. Given that they both suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
