Harris Coleman threw two touchdowns and ran for five more as
Lorena (Texas) defeated
China Spring (Texas) 52-35 on Saturday.
The Leopards were up 31-7 at the half after taking the lead on a touchdown run by Coleman in the first quarter.
Lorena expanded its lead to 38 points entering the fourth quarter. LHS scored two times in the third, including once on a Coleman touchdown run.
The Leopards' standout player in the win was Coleman. The junior quarterback kicked one extra point. He has now scored 27 touchdowns on the season.
When the two teams played each other last season, Lorena came away with a 24-21 victory.
The loss comes after China Spring defeated Robinson 36-35 last week. The loss snapped the Cougars' 3-game winning streak. With the win LHS extended its winning streak to four games.
