The Kingman Bulldogs had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.3 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They skirted past Tonopah Valley 57-54. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Kingman also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Kingman got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Naliq Davis out in front who scored seven points along with six assists and six steals. Davis has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Wesley Larson was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with nine rebounds and two steals.
Tonopah Valley's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Quintin Keys, who scored 20 points. Keys is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Sir-Izzik Sanchez-Caldwell, who scored 13 points.
Kingman's victory bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Tonopah Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 4-14.
Kingman will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Shamrocks at 7:00 p.m. Yuma Catholic is looking to tack on another W to their six-game streak on the road. As for Tonopah Valley, they will face off against the Guardians at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully American Leadership Academy - West Foothills focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Tuesday.
