Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bethany Community). They blew past the Clover Garden School Grizzlies 64-39 on Wednesday. The Wolves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 25 points or more this season.

Bethany Community's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Braelyn Pennix, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten boards. Those 20 points gave Pennix a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Haley Ricketts, who posted 13 points and five steals.

Bethany Community was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

When it comes to explaining why Clover Garden School lost, don't look at Hanna Tickle. Despite the final result, she went 6 of 15 on her way to 26 points in addition to six boards and four steals. That was a full 66.7% of Clover Garden School's points, marking the ninth time in a row she's put up more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nikole Weed, who had four points and six rebounds.

Bethany Community moved to 9-9 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak. As for Clover Garden School, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-2.

Bethany Community will square off against Carver at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Carver's defense has only allowed 24.7 points per game this season, so Bethany Community's offense will have their work cut out for them.
