The Palacios Sharks will head out on the road to face off against the Rice Consolidated Raiders at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Palacios' offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for ten straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
Palacios has been struggling as of late, and they have yet to win a game this season. Neither they nor Hallettsville could gain the upper hand on Tuesday so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw. The result (or lack thereof) marked Palacios' first draw of the season.
Their goal came courtesy of
Sergio Mier, which was the first he's scored this season.
Meanwhile, for the first time since back in January, Rice Consolidated was forced to settle for a draw on Tuesday. They played to a draw too, finishing 3-3 against Wharton.
As for Palacios, they moved theirs to 0-9-1. Meanwhile, Rice Consolidated's record is now 2-11-2.
Everything went Palacios' way against Rice Consolidated when the teams last played back in March of 2023 as Palacios made off with a 5-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Palacios since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
