The Cottondale Hornets entered their tilt with the Chipley Tigers with nine consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with ten. Cottondale walked away with a 52-42 win over the Tigers on Friday. That's another feather in the cap for Cottondale, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Kee'shan Hudson was his usual excellent self, scoring 22 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Reagan, who scored nine points along with two steals.
Chipley lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kyler Bryant, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds. Bryant has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times he's played. Malik Henderson was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with two steals.
Cottondale has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for Chipley, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 11-10.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cottondale will face off against the Gators at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
