Basketball Game Preview: Syracuse Titans vs. Copper Hills Grizzlies

Syracuse is 0-7 against Copper Hills since March of 2016 but things could change on Tuesday. The Syracuse Titans will host the Copper Hills Grizzlies at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Syracuse's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Last Friday, Syracuse earned a 77-68 victory over Ridgeline.

Skyler Orton was his usual excellent self, going 11 of 20 on his way to 25 points and three steals. His evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bradlee Trejo, who went 5 of 7 on his way to 16 points and six assists.

Syracuse was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ridgeline only racked up 14 assists.

Meanwhile, Copper Hills entered their tilt with Farmington on Friday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They greeted the New Year with with a 71-55 win over the Phoenix.

Syracuse better focus on containing Boston Lambourne and Isaiah Reiser as the pair were huge in Copper Hills' win. Lambourne went 9 of 16 on his way to 24 points and four steals, while Reiser went 9 of 15 on his way to 22 points. Those four steals gave Lambourne a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Daxton Nelson, who posted nine points.

Copper Hills is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. As for Syracuse, their victory bumped their record up to 7-5.

Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as the two teams are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. Syracuse hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 65.1 points per game. However, it's not like Copper Hills struggles in that department as they've been averaging 64.8 points. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher.
