Baseball Game Preview: Dewey Bulldoggers vs. Lincoln Christian Bulldogs

The Dewey Bulldoggers will take on the Lincoln Christian Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Dewey is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.

Dewey lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Pawhuska, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's matchup. The Bulldoggers put the hurt on the Huskies with a sharp 15-6 win on Friday. The Bulldoggers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by six runs or more this season.

Mason Snellgrove looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits.

At the plate, Chase Miller was a standout: he went 1-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Layne Gastel, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Dewey always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pawhuska only posted an OBP of .382.

Lincoln Christian had taken Metro Christian down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Thursday. The Bulldogs came up short against the Patriots, falling 10-2. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Dewey has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.4 runs over those games. As for Lincoln Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 11-11.
