The Franklin-Simpson Wildcats will venture away from home to face off against the Warren East Raiders at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Tuesday, Franklin-Simpson got the win against Todd County Central by a conclusive 11-5. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by six runs or more this season.
Max Wren looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances.

Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Braylon Turner, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
Franklin-Simpson hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Todd County Central struck out 11 times.
Meanwhile, while Warren East put up some runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Glasgow. The Raiders came out on top against the Scotties by a score of 4-0. The Raiders haven't had any issues with the Scotties recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.
Brenden Bratcher made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Warren East is 4-2 when he allows at most one earned run, but 4-11 otherwise. Bratcher was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.
In other batting news, William Alexander was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.
Franklin-Simpson has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.7 runs over those games. As for Warren East, their record is now 8-13.
Franklin-Simpson came up short against Warren East in their previous meeting on Thursday, falling 4-0. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
