After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Wiregrass Ranch, the Dunnellon Tigers were happy to have found some success on Saturday. They came out on top against Suwannee by a score of 62-55. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Eli Nelson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 22 points along with seven rebounds. The game was his fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Henry, who scored 16 points.
Dunnellon's victory bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Suwannee, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dunnellon and Trinity Catholic will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Trinity Catholic is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak. As for Suwannee, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Hamilton County at 7:30 p.m.
