The Riverside Frontiers will head out on the road to square off against the Math Science Tech Prep at Seneca Wolves at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Riverside's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on January 8th after their third straight loss. The match between Riverside and Kenmore West wasn't particularly close, with Riverside falling 54-40.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Javon Elliot, who scored 13 points. Another player making a difference was Landon Jaeckle, who scored nine points.
Meanwhile, Math Science Tech Prep at Seneca pushed their score all the way to 60 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to East 65-60. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game back in December of 2023 (58), Math Science Tech Prep at Seneca still had to take the loss.
Riverside's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Math Science Tech Prep at Seneca, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
Riverside didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Math Science Tech Prep at Seneca in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 61-55 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Riverside since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
