The Dallas Lutheran Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight defeat. They lost to Yavneh Academy on the road by a decisive 59-43 margin. If Dallas Lutheran was looking for revenge after losing 52-51 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Yavneh Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Sam Rael out in front who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Rael hasn't dropped below 15 points for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Joe Schwartz, who scored 12 points along with three steals.
Dallas Lutheran has not been sharp recently as the team's lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season. As for Yavneh Academy, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 16-5.
Dallas Lutheran does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Yavneh Academy also has no future games currently scheduled.
