Sargent had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 46 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They came out on top against the Center Vikings by a score of 39-26. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Farmers also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.

Sargent's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kandace Pargin, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine boards. Pargin has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Angelise Garcia was another key player, going 6 of 11 en route to 14 points and seven rebounds.

Sargent smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in four consecutive matches.

Center's loss came despite strong showings from Presley Wilson and Emiliana Valdez. Wilson posted 12 points, while Valdez put up six points and six boards. That was a full 46.2% of Center's points, marking the third time in a row she's had more than a third of the team's points.

Sargent pushed their record up to 8-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.7 points per game. As for Center, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-3.

Sargent has already played their next contest (against Monte Vista), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Center won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Crested Butte at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Crested Butte has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
