The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Salisbury Christian in their matchups with Greenwood Mennonite: they've now lost five in a row.
Greenwood Mennonite's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Carter Long led the charge by scoring 21 points along with 4 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Long has scored at least 25% of Greenwood Mennonite's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Mast, who scored 10 points along with 5 steals.
Salisbury Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Greenwood Mennonite, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Salisbury Christian will challenge Nandua at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Greenwood Mennonite, they will head out on the road to face off against Varsity Opponent at 5:15 p.m. on Monday.
