Rampart managed to slip by Liberty the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Rams came up short against the Lancers on Thursday, falling 17-10. Even though they lost, the Rams' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.4 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

Brayden Valdez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. That stolen base marked the first that he snagged this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Vince Carpio, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

Rampart is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8. As for Liberty, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-8.

While Rampart had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
