The Cheektowaga Warriors scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They claimed a resounding 71-41 win over West Seneca East on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Cheektowaga has managed all season.
When it comes to explaining why West Seneca East lost, one person who can't be blamed is Devon Madding. Despite the final result, he scored 16 points along with five rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jason Jasinski, who scored seven points along with two steals.
Cheektowaga's victory was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.3 points per game. As for West Seneca East, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cheektowaga will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Lake Shore at 6:30 p.m. on January 29th. Lake Shore comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for West Seneca East, they will head out on the road to face off against Maryvale at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
