Fredericksburg Christian is 2-8 against the Conquistadors since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Fredericksburg Christian Eagles will look to defend their home court against the Seton Conquistadors at 7:15 p.m. Fredericksburg Christian has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 486 points over their last eight games.
Even though Christchurch School scored an imposing 59 points on Thursday, Fredericksburg Christian still came out on top. Fredericksburg Christian walked away with a 68-59 victory over the Seahorses.
Fredericksburg Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Christan Smith, who scored 20 points. It was the first time this season that Smith scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Johnson, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, even though Northern Virginia HomeSchool scored an imposing 63 points on Tuesday, Seton still came out on top. Seton managed a 67-63 win over the Centurions. Given Seton's advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 36th, while the Centurions are ranked 147th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Fredericksburg Christian is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for Seton, their victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-2.
Fredericksburg Christian came up short against the Conquistadors when the teams last played back in February of 2023, falling 68-58. Can Fredericksburg Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
