The Lake Washington Kangaroos are taking a road trip to face off against the Liberty Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are still undefeated (Lake Washington has five wins dating back to last season, while Liberty has four).
Lake Washington is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat North Creek 49-10. The contest was close at halftime, but the Kangaroos turned on the heat in the second half with 42 points.

Lake Washington can attribute much of their success to Ronin Holmes, who rushed for 69 yards and four TDs, and Blayke Duryee, who rushed for 121 yards and one score on only seven carries. Holmes is crushing it when it comes to rushing touchdowns: he's punched in at least two every time he's taken the field this season.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Lake Washington was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 244 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 244 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.
Lake Washington didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Kai Porter.
Meanwhile, Liberty humbled Juanita with a 42-13 victory. Considering the Patriots have won three matchups by more than 28 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Lake Washington better keep an eye on Dawson Durham. He was instrumental in Liberty's win, throwing for 188 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 87.5% of his passes, and also rushing for 34 yards. Those 34 rushing yards gave Durham a new career-high.
Lake Washington's record now sits at 4-0. As for Liberty, their record is now an identical 4-0.
Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Lake Washington has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 315.8 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Liberty struggles in that department as they've been averaging 238.5 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Lake Washington came out on top in a nail-biter against Liberty in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, sneaking past 24-21. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Kangaroos since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
