Eagle's View hasn't had much luck against Wolfson recently, but that could start to change on Monday. Eagle's View will host Wolfson at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Thursday, Eagle's View got the win against ED White by a conclusive 13-4. The win continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Commanders: they've now won four in a row.
Raghan Beckham made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up four earned runs off three hits. Beckham was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most hits she has posted since back in February of 2024.
In other batting news, Savana Clifton was a standout: she went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Kiara Jones, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4.
Meanwhile, Wolfson's rock-solid pitchers showed up for the team's third consecutive shutout on Wednesday. They didn't even let Riverside on the board, marking Wolfson's second-straight 15-0 shutout.
Like Eagle's View, Wolfson also got a great game from a two-way player: Addison Booher. She tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Booher has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one hit in eight consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Emerson Mercer, who scored three runs and stole six bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 1.2 stolen bases per game. Sarah Wisniewski was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
Wolfson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Wolfson pushed their record up to 7-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.0 runs on average over those games. As for Eagle's View, their victory bumped their record up to 4-7.
Monday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Eagle's View has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .432. However, it's not like Wolfson struggles in that department as they've averaged .570. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Eagle's View suffered a grim 17-0 defeat to Wolfson in their previous meeting on March 3rd. Will Eagle's View have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more softball content.
