The Mexia Black Cats will be playing at home against the Teague Lions at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Mexia will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
Last Friday, Mexia made easy work of the Elks and carried off a 55-33 victory.
Meanwhile, Teague was beaten by the Lions 61-22 on Tuesday. Teague has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
A'shaiya Jones was Teague's leading scorer, having posted eight points.
Mexia has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 12-12 record this season. As for Teague, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-14.
Mexia took their victory against the Lions when the teams last played back in January by a conclusive 57-35. Will Mexia repeat their success, or do the Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
