It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Edgewood Warriors ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They secured a 56-50 W over Perry. Edgewood's victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
Katie Mccollister was her usual excellent self, scoring 23 points along with seven steals. The contest was her third in a row with at least ten points. Leigha Guyton was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with four steals.
Edgewood pushed their record up to 6-0 with that win, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.8 points per game. As for Perry, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-2.
Edgewood will be home for the holidays to greet Jefferson Area at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Jefferson Area will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 452nd, while Edgewood is ranked 65th). As for Perry, they will head out on the road to face off against Harvey at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
