The St. Francis Mariners pushed their score all the way to 86 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 97-86 hit to the loss column at the hands of Ozaukee. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Thursday (58), St. Francis still had to take the loss.
Despite the loss, St. Francis still got an impressive performance from Keenan Green, who scored 22 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Budzien, who scored 16 points.
St. Francis' defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Ozaukee, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-7 record this season.
St. Francis will head out on the road to face off against the Whippets at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Whitewater knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully the Mariners like a good challenge. Ozaukee does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
