Parker moved up to 399 from 432 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Coastal. The Lancers climbed the ranks as a result of topping Horizon 42-28.
Santa Fe Christian extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Escondido Charter, 55-14. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
Parker's dynamic duo of Gabe Harrington and Hank Childs proved tough for the Panthers to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Harrington threw for 91 yards and two touchdowns and Childs had 52 yards receiving. Ayman Mayberry helped Parker's passing attack out by catching two balls for 15 yards.
Sage Burmeister was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 28 carries, he ran for 242 yards as La Jolla Country Day beat Horizon. Cole Goldklang also contributed to the rushing game with 30 yards on the ground.
The Lancers' Harrington and Childs have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Coastal in both passing and receiving yards. Harrington has thrown for 1404 yards this season, while Childs, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has 47 catches for 660 yards. Bishop's's Bulla Graft leads the league in rushing yards with 1307.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Santa Fe Christian takes on second place Parker. Last week, Santa Fe Christian topped the White Tigers, while Parker bested Chris Johnson's team.
Burmeister of the the Torreys is only 84 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 121 carries Burmeister has accumulated 916 yard this year.
Nick Ruscetta's team took down Greg Brose's team 55-14 last week, the largest margin of any game. Hunter Vaccaro threw for 86 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 100 yards in the win.
