Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wray). They came out on top against the Burlington Cougars by a score of 65-52 on Saturday. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Aaron Tena had an outrageously good game as he went 8 for 10 on his way to 20 points and five rebounds. Alex Trejo was another key player, putting up eight points in addition to eight assists and five steals.

Wray was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Wray's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Burlington, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Wray and Chase County will compete for holiday cheer at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wray is facing Chase County at the right time seeing as Chase County is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Burlington, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Wray at 4:00 p.m. on January 10, 2025.
