Seneca was the 2-1 winner over Streator when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Fighting Irish fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 2-1 on Wednesday. The Fighting Irish's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Seneca sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-27, 25-12.

Seneca's loss dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Streator, they pushed their record up to 11-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Seneca didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Marquette on the 25th. As for Streator, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Manteno on the 25th.
